Executive team
Aldea's experience creating pathways to success for nonprofit organizations and educational institutions dates bak to the late 1980's. Our team of professionals is sensitive to the needs of nonprofits and as an agency, we pride ourselves on our ability to navigate these unique environments.

Susan Estrada, Founder
Aldea’s president and chief executive officer, Susan Estrada, is a nationally recognized leader in Internet development. She is an Internet pioneer, with 20 years of telecommunications and network management experience.

Named a “thinking nerd” by colleagues, she has deep interest in emerging Internet technologies and making those technologies work to solve real-world problems. Always a forward thinker, Susan founded CERFnet, one of the nation’s first regional networks funded by the National Science Foundation in 1988. CERFnet developed some notable firsts for the Internet, including the first deployment of dialup IP, accounting reports for customers, and interconnection enabling the first commercial traffic via the Commercial Internet Exchange (CIX), as well as delivering high-quality service. Well-known for giving practical advice on getting the best Internet service, in 1993, Susan wrote Connecting to the Internet, An O’Reilly Buyer’s Guide (a Barnes and Noble bestseller).

Anne Estrada, Vice President of Development
Aldea’s vice president for development, Anne Estrada, is a seasoned professional with broad experience in the development, design, and implementation of Management Information Systems.

During her 20-year career in information technology, Anne Estrada has excelled at systems development that bridges technology with project management and team building at Fortune 500 utility companies. While at Sempra Energy—a $6 billion energy utility company—she lead the team responsible for software process improvement based upon both off-the-shelf and custom applications and software packages. During her years at Southern California Gas Company, she managed the reengineering and implementation of both the billing and the customer contracts systems for the company’s largest 2,000 commercial and industrial customers.
