MedReady partnered with a large medical group to field-test our device for 8 months before we finalized the design and features of the MedReady Medication Dispenser. We enlarged our tray to hold more medication, made the tray removable, and most importantly, we added a rechargeable battery pack to safeguard against power outages. This also means MedReady can be used on short trips, eliminating the confusion of a suitcase filled with different pill containers.

Safety
MedReady conveniently utilizes AC power, but in the event of an outage or short-term travel, switches automatically to included rechargeable batteries lasts for up to 48 hours. Only the most recent medication dose is available. The pill tray rotates to the next dose when the next audible alarm sounds. If a patient misses a dose, the pill dispenser denies access to the missed dose.
Security
MedReady is tamper-proof to provide the maximum in security. Instead of employing a latch, our system utilizes a real lock and key, and the edges are secure. With access by key-only, caregivers can load MedReady and monitor patient compliance.

The extra large LED read-out is easily viewed from any angle and is self-illuminating so it can be seen in any light
Medication Card Holder
MedReady provides a card holder on the bottom of the unit for a printed copy of the prescriptions for all medications in the dispenser.

1650 Remote Monitoring
Simply plug the added telephone cable connector into the phone line. Patient only needs the phone line. Caregiver accesses secure web site to review actual medication times. Monthly service plan is required ($16/month). The system calls up to 3 phone numbers, leaving messages and send email if a dose is not taken. For those who have difficulty hearing a buzzer or alarm, we developed the Medready 1600FL, a unit with a red Flashing red Light to alert the patient that it is time to take their medication. We have also developed the Medready 1600LF which emits a low frequency alarm to aid those who have difficulty hearing higher frequencies. These FL and LF options can also be combined to create a 1600FL-LF (FL-Flashing Light - LF Low Frequency) model.
For caregivers who want a daily report on their patient’s compliance, we developed the Medready 1650. This unit sends a daily report, via the internet, accessible by the caregiver. This is also available as a Medready 1650FL (Flashing red Light), Medready 1650LF (Low Frequency), or a combination Medready 1650FL-LF (FL-Flashing Light - LF Low Frequency).
